MY METHOD
Communicative method
In my classes I offer my students a wide variety of activities to create natural interactions. We work with real texts, audio and videos and we try to reproduce real social situations. This method is indeed very effective and ensures that the students not only learn grammar rules and structures properly but are also able to use them in a natural way.
When I am learning a language it is easier for me to learn through action, practicing real situations. That is why I connect so well with the communicative method as a teacher. Since I started using this method in my classes I see that the students become motivated and feel comfortable using Spanish. It is very rewarding to see them learning and having fun at the same time.
I adapt my classes according to my students’ interests and needs:
Do you plan to travel around Spain or Latin America?
Do you need to learn Spanish for your work or to find a job?
Do you have a partner or a new member of the family who speaks Spanish?
Maybe you are just curious about Spanish and you want to know more about the culture.

Learning by playing
I personally like games in the classroom. I consider them an essential tool for language learning.
We use games in the classroom to discover new concepts, to practice them and to review.
When we play together, we create a nice and joyful atmosphere in the class. This makes it easier to talk and to use new words and structures.
Best of all, we have such a great time!

MATERIALS
The materials I select for my classes follow the communicative method. They include texts, videos, audios, podcasts, etc., that allow students to communicate and learn with real language examples. Through these materials, students can develop all the language skills.
We also cover socio-cultural aspects and learn about the diversity of Spanish in the different Spanish speaking countries.
ONLINE LESSONS
In addition to my classes in the Hague, I also give online lessons. Fortunately, we now have many online tools that enable interactive and communicative lessons.
I mainly use Campus Difusión. Through this digital platform, my students have access to a wide range of interactive activities and resources that suit their level, needs and interests.
In my online classes I find essential to create a sense of closeness despite the distance.
This way learning, playing and communicating is much easier and fun.
